Between 2023 and 2026, F&D Tech Solutions led one of the largest hospitality WiFi programmes ever delivered in the UK, providing enterprise-grade wireless design, validation, and delivery support across a portfolio of 855 live hotel sites. Working to strict SLAs and tight timescales, we helped a major hotel brand achieve consistent, high-performance connectivity across its entire estate—without disrupting guests or day-to-day operations.

Our scope of work included:
- Wireless desktop and on-site surveys using industry-standard tools
- Predictive design and planning
- Validation and performance testing post-installation
- Coordination with third-party installation contractors
- Limited installation work by internal F&D teams where required
This was one of the largest national Wi-Fi infrastructure rollouts in the UK hospitality sector, with each property requiring its own dedicated design process, approval, and deployment — often while the hotel remained fully operational and occupied.

Our Methodology
To deliver consistently at scale, F&D Tech Solutions applied a repeatable, SLA-driven delivery model supported by industry-leading wireless tools, structured governance, and flexible field resources.
Desktop Surveys & Predictive Design
Using Ekahau AI Pro, we created site-specific predictive designs to model coverage, plan AP placement, and gain approval before any on-site work began.
Installation Support
We supported third-party installers with detailed documentation and expert guidance, deploying our own engineers to complex or priority sites where required.
Post-Migration Validation
Following installation, we carried out on-site validation surveys to confirm performance, identify issues, and complete final sign-off with full reporting.
The Outcome
By Q4 2025, F&D Tech Solutions had completed Wi-Fi survey, design, and validation works across the majority of the 855 hotels, with the remaining sites scheduled for completion in early 2026.
The programme delivered a standardised, high-performance Aruba wireless infrastructure across the client’s UK estate, enabling reliable guest connectivity, stronger internal operations, and readiness for future smart hotel technologies.
